How to Choose a Magnesium Powder

Magnesium powders come in three types. Unflavoured powders are often one ingredient, magnesium glycinate or magnesium citrate, and mix into water or any drink. Flavoured drinks and lattes blend magnesium with other ingredients like cacao or herbs. Electrolytes blend magnesium with sodium and potassium.

Magnesium glycinate powder vs citrate powder

Glycinate powder tastes mild and slightly sweet. Citrate powder is a little tart.

Electrolytes with magnesium

Electrolyte powders blend magnesium with sodium and potassium, and mix into water like any magnesium powder. Check the magnesium per serve on the label, which is usually lower than a dedicated magnesium powder.

What to look for on the label

Check the elemental magnesium per scoop, how many serves are in the pack, and what else is in it. Every magnesium powder we sell is free from artificial sweeteners, flavours and colours.
