Hi, I'm Irene Falcone, founder of Clean Nectarine
For over 15 years I've pioneered clean beauty in Australia, and I've got unfinished business. I founded Nourished Life, Australia's original clean beauty store, and sold it in 2017. Clean Nectarine is where I finish what I started, stricter this time. I'm a Telstra Business Women's Awards winner, an EY Entrepreneur of the Year finalist, and a judge for the Clean + Conscious Awards.
Clean Nectarine is Australia's obsessively strict clean beauty store. I read the label on every product so you don't have to. No greenwashing, no fake natural.
I say no to most products.
How I decide what to sell
I say no to most brands that want to be here. Everything I stock has to pass the Clean Nectarine NO List, my ingredient ban list built over 15 years, and most products don't, including plenty that other clean beauty shops sell without a second thought. Unlike other stores, I won't carry a brand's whole range. I go through it item by item and stock only what passes. What does, I score one to three nectarines with the Clean Nectarine Rating. I'm back, with a new name and a stricter standard
In 2012 I founded my first clean beauty store and earned the trust of hundreds of thousands of Australians with a strict ingredient ban list. That store was Nourished Life, and I ran it my way right up until I sold it to BWX in 2017. Once it was no longer mine, the standard I'd built was lost. BWX later collapsed into administration and receivership, and Nourished Life was sold again. I have no involvement with it today. They bought the name, but they didn't buy my standards, my passion, or my mission.
So I'm back to do it all again at Clean Nectarine, with an even stricter standard and a promise to bring you back everything you loved, better than ever.
