Everything You Need to Know About the New Mukti Golden Glow Bronzing Drops
Introducing the new Mukti bronzing serum with niacinamide and ceramides for a buildable golden gl...
I love shaving my face, this is also known as dermaplaning. And the first thing you need to know is, no, it doesn't make the hair grow back thicker or darker. For me, it grows back just as it was before.
Dermaplaning uses a special handheld dermaplaning tool that removes the peach fuzz on our face, as well as the top layer of dead skin cells. It takes just a few minutes every week, and I love it because it leaves my skin feeling so smooth. Not only does it remove all of the peach fuzz, it also gives such a deep exfoliation, which helps the actives in the serums and moisturisers absorb better, so the skin gets all of that goodness without having to get through layers of dead skin first.
I like to dermaplane weekly. I have a little routine where I pick a nice sunny spot mid afternoon where I have good light, in front of a mirror, with completely dry skin. I hold the skin taut with one hand, keep the blade at about 45 degrees, and work in short, light, downward strokes, one section at a time. I go over my smile lines a few extra times, it's so satisfying.
As you know, I'm a huge fan of toners. After dermaplaning my skin is a little sensitive, so I only use a rose water toner on an organic cotton pad to sweep away any leftover dead skin and residue. Then I massage in a simple face oil for sensitive skin, I love the Weleda almond facial oil for this. Always avoid the eye and lip area, and skip it if you're mid-breakout or your eczema or rosacea is flaring. If you want to know more, I've got a whole guide on dermaplaning at home.
