No. Irene Falcone is no longer associated with Nourished Life. She sold the business in 2017 and left completely in 2020. She tried to buy it back on multiple occasions but was unsuccessful, so she created Clean Nectarine instead. Irene's focus, her strict ingredients policy, her original mission and her key team members, including our naturopath Melanie, are now found only at Clean Nectarine.

Irene founded Nourished Life back in 2012 and built its original reputation on her strict, toxin-free standards. She sold the business in 2017, and it has since changed hands and is now owned by an overseas company with a different ingredient policy, so the store trading under that name today is not the one Irene built. Clean Nectarine is Irene's new store, built on the standards that made her name and tightened further still, so the store you trusted hasn't gone anywhere. It just has a new name.

Yes. We're an authorised stockist for every brand we carry, so everything you buy from Clean Nectarine is 100% genuine, sourced directly from the brand or an authorised distributor. We're also the exclusive Australian importer for 100% Pure, Andalou Naturals and Mineral Fusion.

Yes. Clean Nectarine is a true one-stop shop for toxin-free living, with skincare, makeup, hair and body, supplements, dental, deodorant and fragrance, as well as water filters, toxin-free home cleaning and kitchen supplies.

Not every product from a brand meets our standard. We check each item individually, and if one contains an ingredient on our ban list, we won't stock it, even if the rest of the range is fine. That's why you'll sometimes find some products from a brand and not others.

We start with the 80-plus ingredients most clean beauty stores ban, then go further with at least 13 more that many 'clean' stores still allow, including phenoxyethanol, fluoride, potassium alum, Sucralose, silicones (including dimethicone and amodimethicone) and propylene glycol. Many of the products at Clean Nectarine carry certifications like COSMOS and ACO Certified Organic, NATRUE Certified Natural, Made Safe and Vegan Society. Certification is a great sign, but it's only part of the picture, we check every product against our own ban list too.

Yes. We don't sell any products tested on animals, and we won't work with any brand that allows its products to be tested on animals. We also have a large vegan range, though we are not a vegan store.

Yes. Talc is on our ban list, even the certified-natural kind, so all the makeup at Clean Nectarine is talc-free.

Yes. Fluoride and aluminium, including potassium alum (also known as crystal salts or crystal deodorant), are on our ban list, so the dental and deodorant ranges at Clean Nectarine are free from these.
