Parissa was founded in 1983 by Azar Moayeri, the first woman to graduate as a chemical engineer from the University of Edinburgh. After moving from Iran to Vancouver she couldn't find a natural way to remove hair, so she started making her own in her kitchen, and it became Canada's first all-natural wax. It's still woman owned and family run out of British Columbia. The waxes are made from simple ingredients like tree resin, cane sugar, beeswax and vegetable oils, with no plastics or petrochemicals, and the brand is Leaping Bunny certified. I stock the full range, covering sugar wax, warm wax, hot wax, ready to use strips and post-waxing care.
