A protein water with creatine, electrolytes and B vitamins, for energy, performance and recovery.
The Beauty Chef has just launched Body Electric, a protein water with creatine, electrolytes and B vitamins, for energy, performance and recovery. It also supports hydration and mental stamina. You can drink it any time of the day, before, during or after exercise, or on a day when you're not exercising at all.
It's made in Australia, vegan, gluten free, dairy free and sugar free, with no artificial sweeteners.
What's in it
Each serve has 3g of creatine. It's water-washed, independently tested to make sure it's free from impurities, and micronised for better absorption and digestive comfort. Alongside vitamin B5, it supports energy production and mental stamina.
There's 10g of hydrolysed pea and rice protein, with a complete amino acid profile including all the BCAAs, for lean muscle and recovery.
The electrolytes come from Olsson's natural, unrefined Australian mineral salts, with sodium, potassium, calcium, zinc and 25% of your RDI of magnesium, for deep hydration.
The activated B vitamin complex has 50% of your RDI of each B vitamin, including B6, B12 and Quatrefolic folate, to support nervous system function and help boost energy.
It also contains The Beauty Chef's Gut Complex of L-glutamine and fermented kombucha with scoby, which is rich in polyphenols and flavonoids.
It comes in different flavours, including Strawberry, which also has nitric oxide-rich beetroot and coconut water, and Tropical, made with natural pineapple and orange flavours and organic coconut water.
How to use it
Mix 1 tablespoon (16g) into 500mL of water and drink it straight away. The water matters here, because electrolytes need enough of it to do their job. Each tub has 20 serves, with under 45 calories a serve. The Beauty Chef says all their products are designed to work together. I have mine in the morning in a drink bottle while I'm walking the dog, and the Body Tone & Glow in the afternoon as a sweet pick-me-up, because it tastes like blueberries.
Who it's for
It's for adults who want help staying hydrated, with support for energy, physical performance, mental stamina and recovery. It's a supplementary sports food, so it's not a meal replacement. The Beauty Chef says it's not suitable for children under 15, or for pregnant women without medical or dietetic supervision.
