Yarok was launched in 2010 by Mordechai Alvow, an editorial and celebrity hairstylist in New York whose work has appeared in Vogue, Allure, ELLE and Marie Claire, and on the runways of Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui and Yohji Yamamoto. Unable to find a natural hair care range that actually performed, he started making his own formulas in his kitchen. Yarok means green in Hebrew. Everything is made in small batches from organic and wild crafted plant ingredients, and the whole range is vegan and free from parabens, sulfates and synthetics. Yarok was one of the top five brands I have ever sold, and it's still the cleanest hair styling range I have found. I went to New York and had Mordechai cut my hair himself, and it was the best haircut I've ever had.
