What's here, and how to pick

Period care is the biggest part of this, with organic cotton tampons and pads from TOM Organic and Tsuno, bamboo pads from Tsuno, bamboo period underwear from Boody, and reusables from Hello Period and Pelvi. If you're moving to a cup, Hello Period make five fits including a low cervix and a high cervix version, which is the bit most brands don't tell you about. There are two menstrual discs, two sterilisers, and a TENS machine for cramping. On lubricant, Yes make both a water-based and a plant-oil-based formula, and the Kolorex range is built around horopito, a New Zealand native plant.

How to work out which period cup fits

Cup fit is about cervix height, not just flow, and it's why so many people give up after one go. Your cervix sits at a different height through your cycle and it varies between people, so a cup that's too long will poke and one that's too short is hard to reach. Check with a clean finger on day two or three of your period. If you reach your cervix at the first knuckle you want a low cervix cup. If you can barely reach it, high cervix. Hello Period make both, plus small, medium and large for flow.
