81% said their eye area looked smoother, 79% said their undereyes looked brighter and 74% said it gave the eye area an energised look.
Weleda added the Skin Food Super Eye Cream to the Skin Food face range. It's made with caffeine and hyaluronic acid, plus the Skin Food Phyto-Infusion, to help reduce the look of dark circles and puffiness and give the eye area instant hydration. For a certified natural eye cream it's priced really well, so it's an easy one to add to a routine.
It's vegan, NATRUE certified natural, and dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested. It's also microbiome-friendly, so it supports the good bacteria that live on our skin and keep it balanced and calm.
What's in it
Caffeine brightens the look of dark circles and helps tired eyes look more awake. There's also green tea extract, which naturally contains caffeine.
Hyaluronic acid is great for all skin types. It's a humectant, which means it pulls water into the skin and helps hold it there, so it plumps and smooths the look of fine lines around the eyes.
There's also lactobacillus ferment, made from the same family of good bacteria used in probiotics, to support the skin's own balance of good bacteria.
Like every product in the range, it contains the Skin Food Phyto-Infusion of organic calendula, chamomile, rosemary and wild pansy. Organic shea butter and sunflower seed oil nourish the thin skin around the eyes, and the scent is very mild.
The study results
Weleda ran an in-use study with 43 people using it twice a day for four weeks. 81% said their eye area looked smoother, 79% said their undereyes looked brighter and 74% said it gave the eye area an energised look. After just one use, 86% said their skin felt instantly nourished.
How to use it
Gently pat a pearl-sized amount around the eyes, morning and night. If you're already using the Super Serum, this goes straight on after it, then the Day or Night Cream. I've set out the full routine in my guide to the Weleda Skin Food face range.
Who it's for
It's suitable for all skin types, and it's made for tired-looking eyes, dark circles, puffiness and fine lines around the eyes.
